  • Assistant Professor - Industrial Engineering, Purdue University (August 2020 - August 2021)

    I served in a joint position with the Regenstrief Center of Healthcare Engineering and a faculty member of Purdue’s Engineering Initiative in Data and Engineering Applications.

  • Data Science Consultant and Owner, Amber Analytics LLC (May 2018-August 2019)

    I recruited two large corporations as clients and was contracted for consulting support. I provided statistics and machine learning support for data science projects. I performed all operational tasks for managing the business.

  • PhD Data Science Intern, Verizon Wireless (Summer 2015)

    I performed Big Data discovery and cross channel analytics using both structured and unstructured data to find insights that improved operational efficiencies, customer experience, revenue growth and profitability. I created a process to classify electronic chats by topic. I utilized text analytics methods such as, stemming and term frequency-inverse document frequency (TF-IDF) and statistics methodologies (vector distance and npath clustering).

  • Lead Operations Research Analyst, United States Air Force (March 2012-August 2014)

    I served as a cost chief for a Air Force program office, where I served as the cost estimator representative for a source selection. As a senior analyst, I led analysis for high-cost, high-visibility communication systems at various stages of development.acquisition programs. These programs were valued over $700 million (top 5% of most costly programs). I also liaised with multiple stakeholders including senior Air Force leadership, congress representatives and users. I supervised several junior employees and managed their research projects. As the head of the training program for group of 50 employees, I designed and instructed training classes.  

  • Operations Research Analyst, United States Air Force (March 2008-Aug 2012)

    I collaborated with senior cost analysts to create accurate cost estimates. The data used for estimates, I compiled program information by conducting of interviews, querying databases and assessing historical data. I presented and justified the methodology of completed estimates to stakeholders. The tasks for this role included: creating and reviewing comprehensive reports and documents, highlighting results of analysis, developing and reviewing analysis of alternatives studies and economic analyses for strategic planning, modeling cost risk to manage future risk and uncertainty.
